Faberge Byzantine Double-Headed Eagle Pin Pendant Russian Romanov Royalty 2.2H
The clasp on Carl Faberge's famous cigarette case (see original pictured; 1846-1920) of a Double-Headed Eagle, was inspired by the ancient Byzantine eagle emblem. This symbol was adopted by the Romanov's as their dynastic symbol in 1613. This reproduction of the clasp now in the New Orleans Museum of Art is here reproduced as a pin / pendant.
Pin (1.75"W x 2.2"H) is made from 24K gold plated pewter and comes with a 24K gold plated 18" chain and provenance card.

Funerary Greek Geometric Vase. By the early 8th century in Greece, the artist adds figure decoration of men, gods, and animals to his vases -- the most fundamental elements in the later tradition of Classical art. This Geometric Amphora was a funerary monument. Intricate geometric patterns cover the neck and body. In the main scene, a corpse lies on the bed surrounded by standing figures that mourn him. This monument would have stood on the tomb of an Athenian aristocrat, above the urn that contained his cremated bones.

Age of Bronze Male Nude Standing Statue by Rodin 20.5H
In 1875, Rodin visited Italy and studied the art works of Renaissance masters Donatello and Michelangelo. The Italian trip was the turning point of Rodin's career which influenced the creation of this sculpture, The Age of Bronze.
